Have you seen my word count? Who’s been a busy bee? That’d be me! I typed right after I woke, I typed as I drank my lunch (I type faster when hungry!), I typed as I sat in the corner at a kids birthday party (looking very shady and aloof), and once home, I just typed, and typed, and typed! And now I’m back on schedule! And yes, I know we’re not even half way though, and that there is NO BLOODY WAY I can keep this up, but that’s why I’m dancing with delight right now, ‘coz it might be my only chance!

You're doing great!
It's the 12th, a little more than a third of the way through the month, and a little more than a third of the way up to 50,000 words.
You can do it!!
Are we going to get to read it?
Cool! I just noticed your word count and came over to congratulate you. What's your story about?
You will be glad to know that I started NaNoWriMo coming this Monday. And I finish on Tuesday. This is so easy.
Way to go, Jonah. I hav no doubt that you can keep it up. One day at a time, and all that.
I've just run a word count on my blog, and find that, in the last year, I've written 135,532 words (including comments, admittedly).
So I could just cut and paste chunks of the blog to achieve the target.
Indeed, my next novel will be making use of some of the stories I've told there.
So, if you find yourself running short near the end, cut and paste. ;-)
Here's a sentence you can use if you need some filler:
"I'm not sure," he said assuredly.
Congrats on being busy bee and getting that word count up! Am I the only one in the Internet world that isn't or hasn't written a novel? I feel so lacking. It would help if I had an idea in my head to write about. Sadly my head echo's as the cars whiz by.
Mark – trust me when I say, you really don’t want to! And I’m even less keen ;o)
Hi Doug & Maureen – Well done you too! Thank you for the congratulations, and right back at you :o) Doug, it started about a girl looking for love, but got magic instead, but now she’s lost that, got the love and is rapidly going off the idea (you know me, I just wander around waiting to see what happens ;o))
Dave, That’s a lot of words! And I know you don’t mean the cut and paste thing ;o)
Thanks Hoss, might use that!
Daisy – I bet if you add up you words you’ll discover you’ve written several novels! And as for idea’s – bah – just create the characters (and I know you have a few of those ;o)), and watch them go! (Umm, do not take this advice seriously, I am the worst person in the world at planning because I never know the end, and they tend to be useful!)
Wow , you are doing great. Keep going. You are my inspiration. I have not written a word on my manuscript in a month.
You've been writing a lot today, i can tell, now you're halfway!
